Luthier Ken Hodges : Hodges Guitars

About Ken Hodges and Hodges Guitars from

Ken spent over 25 years working for a chemical company and retired early due to medical problems. He then started a small business in the North Georgia Mountains that grew so fast that he could barely take care of it. He sold that business and retured again. After some engineering work for the goverment, He moved back to Florida to take care of his elderly parents. His Dad died in June of '06 and his mother is in a nursing home now. He started making guitars as a way to be able to take care of his parents and still be at home. Ken is a member of Crossroads Family Worship Center in Callahan, Florida. You can drop by any sunday and hear him praising God through music as he is a guitarist in the praise and worship team.

Ken is also member of/affiliated with Guild of american Luthiers, Association of Stringed Instrument Artisans, International Bluegrass Music Association, Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour & Newport Miami Guitar Festival.

Ken says, I love life! God has been good to me through my life. He has given me a wonderful wife of 32 years to share it with, and a beautiful daughter that is the apple of my eye. God has blessed me and my luthiery business is flourishing.
