After graduating from Roberto-Venn School of Lutherie in 1994, Aaron set up hs first shop in a rental garage, and began designing, repairing, and restoring fretted stringed instruments.

Aided and abetted by 13 years of employment as a staff guitar repairman at Seattle's Trading Musician, he gained an extensive knowledge of the inner and outer workings of a vast array of instruments. Aaron's first love is the design and creation of original instruments, informed equally by tradition and modern innovation. His early guitars were all one-of-a-kind, which he created to satisfy both his own curiosity and his clients' requirements in custom instruments.

Aaron now offers several models as his signature work. He has always had a special affinity for archtop guitars, but, he will go wherever the creative impulse takes him. The instruments he is creating now are a distillation of the best design ideas he has found in classic instruments, re-imagined and evolved into higher form and function, as fine tools for discerning artists.

For sixteen years now, Aaron's bread and butter work has been in fretted instrument repair, customization, and restoration. He takes great pride in making players' treasured instruments the very best they can be. Whether he is working on his own custom designs, or fixing the issues on somebody's old workhorse, he strives to bring out the fullest potential of each instrument.
